Come on Z. You could have done at least ONE thing right tonight

He's struck out NINE!!!!!!!

Doesn't matter when you consistently walk batters and give up crucial hits. If he Ks 15 and gives up 3 in 5 it's still not good enough.

Come on though, man. Other teams give up 3 runs and baseball tonight is praising their solid pitching. Z gives up 3 and he's terrible?

That's not right.

It's all in perspective. If we had 4 runs you wouldn't be saying that. This game is all on the offense. Zambrano has performed well, it's the offenses job to get 3-5 runs a game. .

It's not about the strikeout. He's pitched poorly overall. I don't buy that this was a "quality start." He made some poor decisions on the mound and allowed himself to be beaten by their few good hitters (namely Cabrera).

And isn't 6 innings, 3 ER considered a "quality start?" Or is it 7 innings?

Well I guess 6 inninges, 3 ER, and 10 K's isn't doing ANYTHING right according to Anemic Offense.

I think he should be more pissed about the correctness of his name, rather than Z's showing today.

It's one thing to say Z has made some mistakes, it's another to say he hasn't done anything right.

he's had good stuff tonight, just Cabrera has owned him. Our offense really needs to pick him up.

I know, but when he's your "ace" and playing a young inexperienced team this kind of performance isn't what you're looking for. With Z's penchant for pitching well in Wrigley I expected nothing less than 7 IP and 2 Rs.

Despite what many people seem to be thinking, this hasn't been a horrible game by Zambrano, simply mediocre. It doesnt matter if you shut out the other team for 9 innings but dont score any runs yourself you havent accomplished much.

I've already called for a name change twice.

Well then maybe you should go and redefine QS. Because he's had one. I didn't say he didn't make mistakes, but he's done plenty right and he has a quality start.

Our offense needs to stop swinging at 1st pitches.

If you can honestly say you've been impressed with Z tonight I'd be shocked. Ks not withstanding.

This offense is just terrible. We have such a small margin for error. It's not fun watching when you know that there is very little chance that we will score more than 2 or 3 runs.

HEY GUYS! THIS GUY ISNT THROWING STRIKES! THEREFORE WE SHOULD BE SWINGING RIGHT AWAY TO MAKE SURE WE DON'T CLAUG THE BASEPATHS!

Imagine, if we had anybody who knows what they were doing we could be winning this game and Vargas woould be long gone.

Like Meat&Potatoes with Ronnie, I call out your anti-Z bias!

It's a quality start. 6 innings, 3 earned runs. I'll take it everytime.

Horrible? No. However given the circumstances it hasn't been very good.
