Well usually when I eat a peanut, I place it in my mouth and chew it for a few seconds, then swallow it. Seriosly though, I'll eat a peanut pretty much any way; dry, salt roasted, raw, with the skin...none of them affect the taste a whole lot. The best way to eat them though is to go to a Logan's Roadhouse restaurant where they've got the peanuts in the shell; you're actually expected to just throw the shells on the floor when you are done.

preferrably BOILED, from some shack off the side of the highway in the Mississippi River Delta.

No way brah. Alabama boiled peanuts all the way. And like I said, Cajunfied is your best bet.

There's a pizza restaurant in Illinois I've been to that's the same way. One time the guests at one table put the shells in the ash tray, and the waitress went by and threw them on the floor.

I'll eat them almost any way.

Preferably, roasted and salted in shell. I crack them open and eat whatever is in there. Occasionally I'll get lazy and eat the whole shell.

In NY, for years I could not find salted peanuts in the shell. The ballparks had unsalted only, as did the local grocery. But about 3 years ago they started stocking them and now they're everywhere.

I hardly eat peanuts, hotdogs, or drink Pepsi (pop in general actually).....but something about being at a baseball game makes all 3 necessary and extremely enjoyable.

I actually eat almonds and/or pistacchios quite often though.

I'm surprised I'm the only one who voted for shell and all. Usually do that with the salted peanuts at Wrigley. I think it tastes good and I don't get sick from it, but maybe I'm just weird. Wouldn't be the first time...

Kinda what Southside said. Suck on the shell and then eat the nut. I learned this from my wife. While watching a Bulls playoff game last year my wife heard the chant of De-Fense (clap-clap) from the crowd on the TV. She thought they were saying Pea-Nuts (clap-clap). I think she likes peanuts too much.
