That throw reminds me of a game against I think the Mets last year when there was a runner on third and 1 out, Patterson made a catch in shallow CF, the runner faked a tag up and Corey threw it as hard as he could, about 3/4 the way up the screen behind Home.

I remember when John Rocker threw fastballs at the net in front of heckling fans and then called them "stupid" when they flinched.

Hilarious.

Nothing is worse than Rick Ankiel.... former pitcher Rick Ankiel

That throw reminded me of a friend of mine trying to throw somebody out at home plate in softball. He threw it about 75 feet (distance, not height fools) over the backstop bouncing off a train.

Good god.

Its better to hurt you right wrist than left wrist right. Top hand guides the bat and the left wrist rotates more. Im looking for sunshine on a cloudy day.

Just got home....someone please update me on what happened to Lee?

Did you know Jimmy Rollins extended his hit streak to 35 games on Opening Day this year? It was a double I think.

Good one....

Sorry, I'm in a random mood...not sure if you were around for the opening day thread...

Anyways, scroll back a few pages for a response, but with 0 outs in the 7th, Furcal tapped one back to Eyre, who kinda fell when he fielded it. He attempted to glove flip the ball to Lee on first, but instead threw it way over Lee's head. As Lee was watching the ball fall over his head, he was standing directly in the way of Furcal, who basically had no choice but to charge right into him on his way to 1st.

Lee immediatly fell over in pain clutching his wrist. He left the game. Eyre looked shaken up too and tried to throw some warmup pitches, but he couldn't even kick his leg up for his delivery, and he too left the game.

My estimates are that Lee will play Friday (IMHO, warning I could be WAY off), and Eyre will go on the DL for 15 days.

Why is it that it seems like the Cubs always have some massive disaster befall them whenever they go out to Los Angeles?

One of these years we will be out there when it falls off the face of the earth.

Someone tell me what's going on. I'm a little drunk right now and I heard Lee and Eyre are both injured? Please God no! I would happily give up every body part that's needed for both of them.
