Thanks Bruce as always!

ugh, Neifury tonight :x

Their bottom of the order is pretty ugly. 8)

yep, like I said yesterday, LA's lineup is basically Furcal, Drew (tonight Kent as well), and the bums.

I'd still like to see Ronny in over Neifi anyday.

Make that 9 to 2 Houston (Oswalt with a 2 RBI single). The Brewers are toast tonight.

At least there's getting to be some separation in the division. I was getting worried having 5 teams within a game of each other. As long as we keep winning we should be fine.

Don't need to burn out the youngster. Neifi starting every once in a while is a good idea.

At least Neifi has good career numbers versus Lowe. That's the only time he should start.

Even a broken clock is right twice a day.

I've learned tha Neifi is some one who is tolerable under the following circumstances:

1) He goes through a large period of time with a minimal number of ABs.

2) He's batting at the vey bottom of the order if he is brought in.

3) He's a late inning defensive replacement.

I'm fine with Dusty trotting this lineup out. Although, it will be funny to see Neifi make some visits to the mound.

How many games has Neifi started so far? Didn't he go something like 3-4 in his first start?

3 games started (not including this one yet)

Anyone else worried about the Astros this year? Their offense has been rather suprising, and they don't seem to be missing Clemens much in their rotation...the Central is really bothering me considering the Astros have had their best start in history, the Cardinals are 8-2 in games that arent against the Cubs, and the Brewers have been hanging around.

Lineups

Cubs

Pierre, CF

Walker, 2B

Lee, 1B

Ramirez, 3B

Barrett, C

Jones, RF

Murton, LF

Perez, SS

Zambrano

Does anybody else feel the Cubs might be better offensively---especially on the nights the Nefti starts---if Z hits 8ths, and PAY RAISE (thanx Jon Miller) hits ninth?

I'm not that concerned. Backe's hurt, Wandy Rodriguez will remember he's awful soon, Pettitte is coming back to earth after last season, and Berkman and Ensberg are the only two bats they have. They've also played 3 of the worst teams in the NL(Washington, Florida, and Arizona) to start the year.

Id like to see Houston and StLouis post 95 wins each, as long as the Cubs win 98. I think the Brewers will hang around a little closer than years past, but I think they will still remain at a bit of a distance.

Sign me up, especially if Clemens comes back. Please stay with your family Roger.

Apparently Miller needs to instruct everyone how to pronounce Neifury's surname properly.

Kill the Dodgers! A friend (if you can actually call a dodger fan that) and I have a yearly bet on runs scored between the Dodgers and Cubs. A dollar a run. I'm up 3 so far this year. Woo hoo!

Let's win this one 54-2 or something!
