5'7", 160 lbs. I'm speedy, good on defense, an average hitter with a good eye. I played CF in HS. Sorry but I'm going to have to bump you, Is_Pedro_There.

You'll have to earn the spot, little man. I'm an OPS machine and a master with the glove!

I bet I'm better with the glove!!

6'0", 165. Good glove, no stick, weak arm. Definitely a 2B.

5' 11", 180 Switch hitter, throws left.

I pitched and played CF. I could throw in the 80s, but had little control. In the OF I will track down just about anything hit in the air. I am a bit out of shape now, but I once ran the 40 in the mid fours. In the OF my arm is quite strong but erratic.

At the plate I have little power, but what I do have is from the right side. From the left side I am a singles hitter. When I am not trying to drive the ball (which I do too often), I have excellent bat control. I will steal bases, but tend to be too agressive running the bases.

Catcher. 5-8 185 (in my playing days). Hit left handed, not much power, but great patience. I was also hit four times in one game. Definately a back-up. Since, I ruined my shoulder lifting weights so I don't have much of an arm either, so I guess I would be pretty usless.

I use to play in a 30 and over baseball league and I played second, though.

i'm taking dh, somebody add that to the list

i'm just going to rake, but we already have firstbasemen and there's no way i'm going to out-field them.

Man, there are a lot of short people around here, not that there's anything wrong with that. I guess I'm batting cleanup, haha.

P.S.- Chicagoland posters should get together this summer and play a game.

I'm 5'8'', 155lbs. I'll be a 1960's era middle infielder.

You can be our Eckstein.

5'8", 140 lbs. I believe I win the position as "scrappy" middle infielder. Plus I was a switch hitting untility player and back-up catcher in high school until I broke my wrist.

Really I was a lot like Macias a crappy hitter, and could field any position on the diamond poorly.

At 5'7"-5'8" and 205 lbs (mostly muscle) with a decent arm and quick, explosive reflexes, I'm guessing I'd make a mean backstop or possibly a power hitting right fielder.

It seems like that, but IIRC, the average height of the adult American male is right around 5'8"

I was going to say I'm glad this isn't a football team! I'll take 3b - decent arm, very quick but not much footspeed. I hit like Murton - left-center to right-center with a few homeruns mixed in.

I thought it was more like 5'11". I feel about average and I'm 6'1"

I just checked, and it seems to be just a shade over 5'9"

i'm going to have to start listing myself as straight up 5'10" rather than a strong 5'9" then

This was tough. I'm 6'3" and 165 lbs soaking wet. I put CF, but I guess a pitcher would work too. If this was football I'd be a WR without a doubt.

6' 230 LBS. Built like a linebacker, but still have some speed and agility. I have soft hands, but not a great arm. I picked 3B.

In HS, I played 3B and LF (I was 5'10", 185 back then). I hit leadoff, 2nd and 9th primarily. I was a speed guy with no power. I probably have a less speed and a lot more power now. I'll hit 5th. I would say 3rd, but I don't take walks or make much contact.

As a baseball player these days, I'd make a heck of a GM. :D

I know what you mean. I haven played real ball in over 10 years. I played a few seasons of slow pitch, that i'ts not really comparable. Slow pitch softball is the easiest sport known to man.

My total balls knocked out of the infield on the fly in my slow-pitch softball league last year: 1.

I'm 6'3 and about 200... I'll platoon at first with Ole_Miss. And eventually win the everyday job.

Hell, already happened to me before. Got put out to RF junior year to make room for an All-American at first base. I'd never played outfield in my life, it sucked. Did get to play first again when he pitched though.

A little over 6 feet tall, 185 lbs, a converted left handed :?: 3rd baseman. Switch hitter. I never understood a left handed 3rd baseman but after only 1 season the coach switched me to pitching. And because I was converted to pitching doesn't mean I just draw any comparisons to Foster  .

I'm sure I could close but was never given the opportunity. My pitches are a fastball, knucklecurve, and changeup. I could throw the knuckeball but just wasn't consistent enough with the location for my own liking. Boy when thrown correctly, it was fun to see it dancing and the the look on the hitters faces was priceless, trying to calculate when and where to swing.
