Like I said, I failed to see the point in signing Jacque Jones when we could have just moved Corey to RF. It would have been cheaper and he wouldn't be under contract for three years.

I'm sorry. Has Lee proven that he's an elite defense 1B over the years? Ronny hasn't. Lee's errors are a fluke. Cedeno's are not.

 

true, but his ERROR certainly also led to the 2 runs. We aren't talking about which one is a better defensive player. You singled out one error in that inning and said that led to 2 runs. That's disingenious. BOTH errors led to the two runs. In fact if Lee doesn't make the error, Cedeno's doesn't lead to a run, and the hit doesn't score rolen from 1st.

But how is your statement correct when Lee's error led to the runs as well?

 

Here is the statement for your recollection (paraphrased):

 

Cedeno's error led to 2 runs, but Lee's did not, because historically he's better defensively so he gets a free pass for that error that ACTUALLY led to the runs.

 

Sounds like a pretty dumb statement to me.
