I know he's not a Bulls target and it was only a matter of time, but ESPN says Rudy Gay is declaring for the draft.

One of the guys who had to drive UConn fans absolutely bonkers this season. This is a guy who should have been the best player in the tournament because of his sheer level of talent...yet he was incredibly lazy at times and was streaky to near-maddening degrees.

Here's hoping the Bulls stay away from him. Yeesh.

agreed. i think they will. it seems like he only did good when they didn't need it and when they did need the lift, his game was nowhere to be found. so tyrus thomas it is.

I've jumped back and forth on who I want the Bulls to pick more than anyone, so I'll just say I'll accept anyone not named Adam Morrison.

I'm really excited about Tyrus Thomas...but he could end up a lot like Tyson. His offense needs a TON of work, so we might have to with a safer pick.

I hate to mention his name because I know he's got one foot out of the league, but we need a big man who can score like Eddie Curry when he decided to play decently (i.e. when he wasn't too tired, disinterested, injured or out of shape----basically once every 2 weeks or so :)).

I'd hate to draft this high and wind up with Tyson Chandler part Deux.

We need someone to draw attention away from our small-ish backcourt. I like our guards, but they can't match up as well if teams can concentrate on the perimeter.

I agree, I REALLY like Thomas, but he's not a safe pick at all. Too much of his game reminds me of Tyson's. The Bulls need size, and unfortunately the only big with decent size is Aldridge. Its quite possible that Gay, Morrison, Thomas, and Bargani turn out better than Aldridge, but unfortunately the Bulls REALLY need to draft by need than potential in this years draft. The FA class is not that great and its unlikely that they will be able to pull off any major deals for a bigman.

The NBA has released their early-entry list for the draft. DraftExpress has posted the list along with commentary. Florida's big three were telling the truth a month ago; they are officially out of this year's draft.

They are also officially "out of their minds". That said -- I do respect their decisions as not many could hold off even a year on that pay day.

Brewer and Horford have a good shot to improve their draft stock with another year in school. Noah's stock can only go down; he has little chance of being the number 1 pick next year if Oden declares.

Which is fine by me if the Knicks go belly up again next year. Oden or Noah would be great fits for this team.

The Bulls' best chance at drafting Noah was likely this year, unfortunately. I can see the Knicks being in the lottery next year, but not this bad again.

Never underestimate Isiah's ability to make the Knicks worse :D

Why couldn't this draft be more similar to the 2003 draft (LeBron, 'Melo, Wade, Hinrich, Bosh, Josh Howard, so on).

We really won't know how good the 2006 draft will be for another 2, 3 years.

Pax was on Tribune Live on Comcast and said that there are 5 real good players in the draft so they will definately get one of them. He seemed to hint that he was going to take the best available player, and talked about the strength at guard and how he could still draft there and trade pieces down the line.

The lottery is at 6:30 CT on ESPN. Bulls are guaranteed a top-5 pick.

Personally, I'm liking Brandon Roy more and more.

Me too. As I lay awake last night at 1:30 a.m., I thought about drafting Roy, trading for Shawn Marion and signing Pryzbilla. That would be quite a squad.

I had a nightmare.....

Bulls take Adam Morrison in the top 5 and then take JJ Redick at #16.... I'm left looking for a new sport to watch in winter.
