It's going to be a very long season if we're going to have to outscore our opponents to win games, rather than beating them through pitching and defense. Most teams' pitching staffs don't suck as much as the Reds does.

BOTTOM OF THE THIRD INNING

 

Arroyo homered to left field

Freel walked

Lopez flied out to right field

Freel stole second base

Griffey struck out swinging

Freel stole third base

Aurilia homered to left center field, Freel scored

Dunn singled off the wall in right field

Encarnacion flied out to the wall in left field

 

3 runs, 3 hits, 0 errors, 1 men left on base

It just seems so early to have given up already :)

 

Don't know who's going to "save" us this year, though... I guess it's supposed to be Hendry...

Without a healthy Wood or Prior we don't have good pitching.

How close were those 2? Rusch really is not a good pitcher.

 

First on off the bottom of the wall in right and the second on the front of the warning track in left.

If you go with Rusch, you don't have good pitching. If you give a shot to the talented young guys you at least have a chance for good pitching.

This was all strategy. Let Arroyo sit for a while so he gets cold....

Agreed, we should have one of Guzman, Hill, or Williams in there.
