I just now realized Cedeno is #5 this year instead of #11.

 

Yep, that's why I got the jersey this offseason.

 

You're going to need No. 3 starting Friday, when Ronny switches again. Jerome to go to No. 57.

game log says three looking K's, and only 19 balls in 68 pitches for Aroyo. great pitching, bad hitting, or generous umpiring? or a combination thereof?

Just abysmal pitching the first couple games. My goodness can the Cubs pitching staff get a 1-2-3 inning or is that against the rules?

I'd classify 4.00 as mediocre anyway.

 

I'd guess far more than half the pitchers in the Majors are worse than a 4.00 ERA.

 

it doesn't matter, his ERA as a starter was 4.87
