I don't care how much it costs - I want Zito in '07, if not sooner. I'm sick of this half our starters being down crap. Give me a bona fide HEALTHY starter.

Did you see Zito pitch on Monday? Wasn't much better then Rusch's start.

But, he's so pretty!

Note: nothing against you, KatJ. My fantasy commish (a girl) is obsessed with Zito and how hot she thinks he is.

Now back to your regularly scheduled butt-kicking.

2004 as a starter =3.50 (16)

2005 as a starter = 4.32 (19)

Looks like 4.00 to me.

If a 4.00 ERA in 2004/2005 as a starter is mediocre then yes, if not no.

I love absolutes, wrong again. He did have a couple of really bad starts in 2005 but overall he was good. (12 starts out of 15)

Why did we sign Rusch to a two year deal? He hasn't pitched well since 2004.

The genius of Hendry and his love for mediocrity.

Wait, are you saying Glendon Rusch is not mediocre?

If 4.87=4.00, then you are correct.

thought you meant from just last year. From your post, I get 50 earned runs in 92.35 innings for an ERA of 4.87. Lemme know if I'm reading the wrong column, since they're unlabeled.

Why let FACTS get in the way of a good rant?

Leave up to good ol' Badger to pop up as usual. I look at Rusch as a mediocre pitcher and his 4.5era last year is what it is...mediocre.

Just two opposite pitching performances today. One is throwing strikes early in the count and getting strikeouts, the other pitchers are consistently falling behind and thus, getting hit hard.
