I love curling too, its great. It looks like such a silly sport but its cool to watch. If i could find a place to play this game, id be all over it.

I wish I had the patience to learn snowboarding, after skiing for more than 15 years, I have no desire to learn it.

 

You do go quicker on a board than skis, at least it appeared that way.

 

I don't think that's true though I'm not sure. I tried snowboarding once but it was too annoying to go back to being a beginner.

 

That bowl is great if the snow and light are good. I like Palli's though that falls into quick exhaustion category.

 

I was just going by my own experience, even on a green run on a board, I was flying and ready to catch the toe edge.

 

Some reason, it's pure speed on a board and mine is only a 152 or something like that.

 

Ah, but that's a different argument. I was just thinking about pointing them downhill and going. I'm thinking snowboarders tend to turn less sharply and use less edge so they go faster. That's probably true.

'He's caught some good funny there'

Nice. Way to incorporate a different audience. GB won gold, I believe, last time up so curling's huge here. Its prime-time entertainment.

This is a seperate rant, but my roommate's absolute obsession with my Madden football game is keeping me from watching US v. Latvia hockey, and it's pissing me off.

It's been a good game so far. 2-1 USA, really fast paced, a lot of penalties.

Lucky they're in a fairly easy block. They've still got supposedly easy wins over Kazakhstan and Slovakia to come (although the Slovaks did beat Russia today).
