God put this trade idea in my head

I'm normally not an outlandish trade idea person, but for some reaosn this popped into my head and in my opinion looks pretty darn good for all teams involved. Just wanted to throw it out there for reactions...

 

Cubs get: Manny, Miggy, Youkilis

Cubs give up: Aram, Pie, Cedeno, Walker, Williams, Patterson, Welly, Novoa

 

Rangers get: Williams, Walker, Welly, Patterson

Rangers give up: Wilkerson, Mench

 

Os get: Aram, Cedeno, Novoa, decent pitching prospect from the Bosox

Os give up: Miggy, Mora

 

Bosox get: Mora, Wilkerson, Mench, Pie

Bosox give up: Manny, Youkilis

That actually is a pretty good deal for all teams involved. It will never happen, haha, but it still looks like a good deal for all teams. O's get quality back for trading Tejada (also give up Mora) and the BoSox get good quality back for getting rid of Manny. I hate losing Aram but Youkilis aint a bad player and Tejada and Manny's offense would make up for it. I think the BoSox should be sending us some cash though.

We'd be losing close to 16.5 mil in the deal, so if we can afford to take on Tejada's 12 million alone, I think taking on 15.5 million in that deal wouldn't be extremely difficult.

Why do you think the Rangers get screwed? Ohh, and I had no clue what to title the thread...I think the God reference might have derailed my point just a bit.

 

Walker~Wilkerson (as a corner OF/1b) when taking into consideration salaries and relative production from the position

 

Mench is a sub 800 road OPS LF, if anything Williams, Patterson, Welly >> than Mench.

 

The Rangers have a surplus of OF and lack of pitching and MI (I think the Derosa signing means that they don't have 100% confidence in Kinsler just yet).

In general i think most teams like to keep their trade proposals to less than 10 players involved :)

I don't know if the rangers have a surplus of outfielders in general, but if they got Patterson they would corner the market on good glove/cant hit center fielders, with Nix, Mathews Jr. and Patterson.

 

They would be in it for the pitching, and Williams and Welly aren't nearly enough.

Should we just thaw out his body, or should we do both his body and his head? Because I think the easiest way to freak out the other team is to have a headless Ted Williams in right. Sure, he'd probably suck defensively, but we dealt with Sammy playing right for a number of years, so I think we could deal with a headless Teddy Ballgame for a year or two.
