  1. You may get more than you want. The Bears won in Tampa with Orton at QB. If we play Tampa, it will be in Chicago with Grossman at QB. I like our chances. The only way the Bears scored was b/c Simms fumbled on the 1. Don't kid yourself into thinking the Bears are great. lol I love that if that didnt happen then you didnt win argument its so fun to apply that to other things in life as well.

  3. is it just me, or do the Rangers get screwed in that deal?
  4. We all know that Hendry has some good money to spend. So hopefully we'll be able to land a big fish for RF. If not, Huff seems to be our best option. He's young and will be able to put up .280/20-25 HR/90 RBIs. Get Lugo in a packaged deal and we're all set. I don't understand why we are waiting at this point??? Because Hendry can't just wiggle his nose like Jeannie and make it happen? Im pretty sure thats Samantha from Bewitched not Jeannie....
  5. Holly Rose for the win!.... if you like ugly fat chicks.
  6. Pierre Walker Lee Aram Murton Cedeno CP Barrett P
  7. Aw, c'mon Mush--Fez is a total zero, and Nolasco and Pinto only look good because they pitched well while REPEATING AA. That's a big leap to get from AA success to useful major leaguer, as their failure in AAA in 2004 attests. None of these guys are anything other than marginal prospects. So, good trade! When the situation is dire, you need to overpay, OK, but what's done is done. We finally have a leadoff man. You are right--if Pierre performs in 2006 as he did in either 2001, 2003, or 2004, Cub fans are going to be very VERY happy. Just because a minor leaguer repeated a level (especially in the case of Nolasco) doesn't mean they're marginal in the least bit. This is an extremely steep price for Pierre. Agree AGREE!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  8. How does Petit not crack the rotation?!?!?!? Sounds made up to me  uhhh.. he was on the DL following Burnetts legacy.... yea thats the ticket!
  9. 2008: The Las Vegas Aces are bolstered by their incredible starting rotation of Willis, Nolasco, Gaby Hernandez, and Pinto are shooting toward their first WS appearance since they moved from Florida. Many thanks go out to the Mets and Cubs for making this happen. In other news, Juan Pierre was arrested again after his fall from 2003 grace with possesion of crack cocaine. He also landed an additional fine by saying, "Do you know who I am?" The officer soundly resounded. "No, cracky"

  11. Why does the media not like D-Lee? I mean he deserved the MVP over Pujols. Grant it it was close, but he deserved it more then Albert. Thats ok I think Cubs fans resigned to the fact that he wasnt going to get it due to the make up votes that went to Pujols because he had to compete with a steroid freak of nature. Anyway... DLee says he will play for the US WBC team now... and he gets the shaft by Texiera?? What in the world is going on here? USWBC team what a joke. this guy gets NO RESPECT
  12. I can understand that, but realistically what would it cost to get Mench from Texas.... Id rather have him.
  13. Uhh... I may not be paying as much attention as I should be with the Cubs offseason due to the Bears, but someone please explain to me all this Kearns love. This guy has decent OBP, LOW AVERAGE, GETS INJURED A LOT... and we are going to trade a pretty good pitching prospect for him? Werent Pinto and Nolasco our big two down at AA currently and are tearing it up? And we are going to add another Murton type player to the outfield?...... Dont we need HR or high OPS out of either outfield spot? I am just wondering if this is how Hendry is planning on running this offseason... trading for another teams busted talent for our promising talent... Yay Cubs!
  14. thats almost as common as the pack losing.
  15. ugh I forgot JVB and Cedeno... err its late

  17. those are the FAs... these are some of the few I'd like to see the Cubs bring in: Arizona: Tim Worrell, Matt Herges Atlanta: Rafael Furcal, Kyle Farnsworth Baltimore: B.J. Ryan Boston: Johnny Damon, Mike Timlin Chicago: Matt Lawton, Todd Walker (Team + Player options), Nomar Garciaparra, Greg Maddux (Vesting Option), Glendon Rusch (Player Option), Ryan Dempster Cleveland: Bob Wickman Milwaukee: Carlos Lee (Team Option, I dont see how the Brewers dont pick up the option) Philadelphia: Billy Wagner San Diego: Brian Giles Seattle: Eddie Guardado (Mutual Option + Player Option)
  18. 8 IP, 4H, 12 K, 1 BB...but it is R-ball. yeah i know, but his continual domination of the diaper dandies continues to wow me!..... or at least give me hope.
  19. I refuse to listen to the negativity!
  20. another good night for the gooze 3.0 IP 3 H 3 K edit *bored with the cubs and bears sucking*
  21. problem is unless it has changed Matsui has always wanted to be a Yankee all his life. Thats something we cannot offer him. The Yanks will be able to keep him as long as they want him based on that. That and his Japanese Marketability.
