Well that'll do it for this horrendous Mizzou season, because I'm gonna assume we aren't making the Not Important Tournament. Here we go baseball.

Not to hi-jack this thread a bit, but since you mentioned Mizzou, are they still keeping Pinkel around for the 2006 Missouri Football?

Yeah, I think the Independence Bowl victory solidifed him staying, along with the fact that the Big 12 North is very weak still. I'm pretty sure that the Athletic Department is interested in seeing how Pinkel adjusts to a Brad Smith-less team.

Bye Bye Wooldrige. KSU Loses, Wooly Fired. He was a class act who just couldn't get it done in close games. Good Luck Jim! Bring on Bob Huggins!

Sorry TD. But you were the first of many victims as TT makes a run at the automatic bid.

(I can believe for a few more hours)

They better have another good season, especially with 17 returning starters from that I-Bowl team. As far as basketball for Mizzou, all I can say is thank God it's over.

some bad decision making at the end by Miami. I'm not sure why their coach was so mad about not getting a time out after the 3....I'm pretty sure they had no timeouts.

Tennessee never really in the game vs. South Carolina, falling at the end 79-71.

Wake Forest throttling NC State.

[last year]Did you see MSU lose to Iowa in the quarterfinals? No way they go anywhere in the tourney.[/last year]

It's funny to me that people write off teams(O$U, Tennessee, Gonzaga, etc.) when they lose or don't win convincingly in games that the other team has everything to play for and they only have seeding. In some cases, it may be the first time they've seen them play all season.

Don't look at me, I wrote off Tennessee and Gonzaga months ago.

Not to mention that you're asking teams to beat teams (in some cases) three times in one season. That's one of the things that ticks me off about conference tourneys. Suppose Illinois loses tonight, do they still get a #2 seed? Or does the committee give them a #2 seed but in the toughest bracket, or do they drop to a #3 seed? I think that stinks if Illinois' one loss to MSU this year during the tourney wipes out the regular season sweep. But that goes for all the other teams who beat teams twice during the regular season and get punished for early exits on the third time playing a team.

I find it impossible to like Cuse's Devendorf. Just looking at him makes me root against the orange.

What's wrong with the Kevin Pittsnogle (big white dude with tattoos everywhere) of Syracuse?

UCLA up on Arizona 33-26 at the half. Darren Collison has had a huge half coming in for Jordan Farmar who's in foul trouble, but the Bruins got a bit sloppy at the end of the half as the Wildcats scored the last 4 to end the half.

Lute Olson was interviewed by the sideline reporter at the end of the first half and he took the whole interview time to rip the refs.
