I hope this is true because it's funny: VIC-TOR-IA

When USC guard Gabe Pruitt took his first trip to the free throw line early in the game, the Cal student section hollered in unison: "VIC-TOR-IA, VIC-TOR-IA," and then yelled out a telephone number. Pruitt glanced back at the crowd in horror and bewilderment before clanking his free throws.

It turns out that a couple of mischeivous little [edited] from the Cal student section had been IM'ing with Pruitt all week under the identity of "Victoria," a fictional UCLA hottie, and Pruitt was eagerly anticipating a date with this nubile co-ed back in Westwood after the game. In preparation for the date, Pruitt had handed over his digits, which the Cal student section recited back to him in unison.

I guess the lesson is that you shouldn't trust anyone online who says they go to UCLA.

I know 2 Victorias who went to UCLA with me.

And yes, don't trust me.

UCLA women win the Pac-10 tourney, upsetting Stanford! :)

Pac-10 Mens awards:

Player of the Year: Brandon Roy, Washington

Freshman of the Year: Luc Richard Mbah a Moute, UCLA

Coach of the Year: Ben Howland, UCLA

Arron Afflalo and Jordan Farmar made the All-Pac-10, Luc Richard Mbah a Moute was an honorable mention.

Luc Richard Mbah a Moute made the all-freshman team, Darren Collison was an honorable mention (no clue why Alfred Aboya didn't make honorable mention on the all-freshman team).

So I haven't really been following this thread at all, and I know I'm a couple pages behind, but GO HEELS!

I love UNC. I hate Duke. Especially J.J. Redick. So it's good for a lifelong tar heel fan to beat his team (with a bunch of freshmen, no less) on his senior night in Cameron.

Also, yes, Hansbrough is awesome, and no, you can't have him.

What if I'm an NBA team offering him millions of dollars? Then can I have him?

Wasn't one originally a Victor?

I admit Syracuse is on the fence and reallyis just above average but I don't understand the "Under 500" thing when it comes to conference play. If they were in the Missouri Valley or whatever they wouldn't have had a problem winning 22 or 23 games and playing UConn and Villanova twice while other teams in the conference only had to play them once was just plan stupid move by the BE IMO. I hate this 16 team non play each team thing.

Um, if you are an NBA team, please don't do that yet. It was bad enough losing our top seven players at the end of last year, leaving us with nothing but freshmen and the likes of Byron Sanders (who looks like a basketball player, cause he's huge, but surprisingly can't actually play basketball). Okay. Noel is good. But still, leave me Hansbrough.

Good one to open the Big East tourney. Cincy making a comeback vs. the Cuse. Both should be in, but the winner gets the important 20th win.

G'town 67, ND 63. The Hoyas hit every big shot including a ridiculous over-the-shoulder left-handed layin by Brandon Bowman.

I'm so happy that Torin Francis won't be playing any more meaningful games in a Notre Dame uniform. What a waste of a strong 6'10" frame this guy turned out to be.

Yeah. Francis got progressively worse offensively as he went thru school. As a freshman, he looked like he would be a guy that would be in college for 3 years at best and become a lottery pick. He had size, strength, and athletic ability. Definitely a waste.

Nice win. It's also nice to see Boeheim being his old fiesty self...I missed him acting like that.

Man, that was awesome. And he is right. w/o McNamara, Syracuse wouldn't have won those 10 games.
