The White Sox are gonna win the WS before the Cubs barring the largest collapse in world series history. Good luck to all Cubs fans who live in Chicago (especially on the South Side) dealing with those jerky White Sox fans whom I have no respect for. We all know who the best fans in baseabll are.

Cubs fans will stay home and recuperate with fellow Cubs fans while looking disgustedly at the celebration.

I am wearing my Bears hat all winter and denouncing all ties to baseball.

Come spring time the Cubs gear will be back out though. Those Sox fans are pretty scary...lol

My math says we have to wait another 9 years. :x

Be careful people that live in Chicago because I have a feeling that if the Sox win your town might get a little harry during the "celebration".

Being a former Chicagoan I'm delighted for the City, there isn't a Major League City that was more deserving of World Series Championship than Chicago. The fact it's the White Sox bringing the Championship to Chicago infuriates me. Not so much that it’s the White Sox (well a little) but, it’s a team with far less resources than our Cubs. Looking at what the Cubs have going into 2006 along with the monetary resources at their disposal, I DEMAND Jim Hendry build a playoff team for us. In summary I'm dealing with it by accepting no less than a 2006 Cubs playoff appearance. After that, as this Post Season has demonstrated, it’s a crapshoot.

Northside vs Southside....the 20's return.

I wouldn't wear my Cub shirt that day/night. I see a little frustration spewing over during this and I hope it doesn't get out of control.

Im hoping they dont go to Wrigley and burn it down. Or attack the construction crews as if they were first base coaches. I live in fearful times here in the city.

What is sad was that I thought that too. Remember when the Bulls won their championships? Particularly the early ones incited mass celebrations (though riots is almost a better word). If (because I'm still holding out hope that it's not "when") the White Sox win, Chicago will burn down to the ground and Wrigley will be the first to go. I'm so glad I'm in Milwaukee right now...

You guys are just lucky I'm here to help. When anarchy rules the streets of Chicago it is imperative that you appear as much like a Sox fan/southsider as possible in order to avoid violent confrontations. In order for you to take the necessary precautions I will provide you with a link at which you are able to purchase a "southsider" costume: LINK

Nothing like celebrating a championship by rioting and looting.

Darwinism says that the "bad seed" Sox fans will thin their own numbers by shooting unregistered hand guns in the air, leaving the majority of the "good" Sox fans (who mostly live in the Western and Southwestern suburbs) alive and well

Pray for anyone brave enough to wear Cubs stuff tonight.

Seriously.

Have I mentioned how pissed off I am that the Sox are going to be the team that brings a title to Chicago? :(

Lol you guys are hilarious... I suggest you wear mostly Bears/Bulls gear and you will be fine until next baseball season starts.... Who knows how bad it will be but I think Wrigley is safe lol.

All the Gaps and Starbucks is why I don't live in Lincoln Park. :P

I'm sick of it, sure, but I'm also slowly coming to peace with it. The White Sox annoy me, but I don't hate them. And it's a heck of a lot better than the Cardinals winning it.

My dad (even though he's not a huge sports fan), like a lot of baby boomers, was White Sox fan up until the White Sox dismantled their '59 World Series team. Bad timing for the White Sox, as that was just in time for those kids to look towards the Cubs' pair of young up-and-comers named Williams and Santo. So I presume that there are a lot of Cubs fans in their 50s out there who will enjoy this just a little bit.

But most of all, I just want this darn season to be over. Maybe I'm too optimistic that some of their inferiority complex will go away after this, though.

Oh trust me, it won't. I've already been told that the Cubs "better not win it for at least 20 years" because the Sox "need their time to shine". The White Sox's stupid little unloved child complex is beginning to truly annoy me. Ozzie Guillen had already said he hates Wrigley Field and bashed Dusty Baker about not supporting the Sox this postseason (because we all know Ozzie would be all dressed in blue if the roles were reversed). Even in the playoffs, the Sox and their fans can't stop whining about the Cubs.
