    No [deleted] the building can't pitch, etc. And I'm not making excuses for bad baseball, etc. You are missing my point. Recap: The reason why the Tribune/MacPhail aren't motivated to win is because people happily flood Wrigley Field simply because it's Wrigley Field. And the Tribune/MacPhail have absolutely no motivation to put a winning team on the field because Wrigley continues to sell out and be extremely profitiable for the Tribune. Thus I have a love/hate for Wrigley because I want a World Series right now!!!! With the Cubs, what ya want and what ya get are usually two different things.

    We don't need their payroll, we need good players and a coaching staff that has a clue. How do you think they got good players and coaching staff? Its all about the Benjamins. And 95 million of them is more than enough....if you have the right people with a brain spending it.

    Woody looked bad last night, looked to be really laboring with every pitch thrown. Don't know if he was hurting or what, but he looked like he had been pitching for 9 innings, and his curve and slider were in slow motion.

    Possibly because it's still a work in process. Thought it was completed now? The seating areas are done and people are sitting there, but the left field corner still has a fair amount of work. Still pretty messy in that area. Gotcha, I guess I was thinking the left upper deck was the last part to be done. Straight out from left to left center field, is that what's left of the old stadium?

    except for our pitchers - they aren't allowed to be sore. Only Prior, who's a big baby and can't tell the difference b/t pain and soreness. Nice.... :roll:

    By whom? People who for some reason respect journalists. In other news: Albert opens restaurant; all proceeds go to charity Sorry haters, but he really is a good guy. Whether you respect his claims of his age or steroid use or not, you can't deny he is a good man. Or are the prices at his restaurant going to be too high, Cubbierich? I really don't know what's more pathetic, the Cubs fans obsession with claiming that Pujols isn't his listed age, or the Cards fans obsession with trying to prove that Pujols is a good guy and all Cubs fans must admit it. Who cares? Cubs fans hate to see Pujols do well because he plays for the Cardinals. The Cubs have 20 wins and are already 13.5 games back. Does there really need to be any further investigation into this? Thinkin' soapy nailed it =D>

    I don't think Len and Bob much care for Perez. It seemed like they really wanted to lay into Perez in the first inning for not pulling the bat back on a fouled bunt attempt when Pierre tried to steal second. I give them credit, I wouldn't be able to be professional enough not to rip this team :lol:
