I think I could have hit that pitch out, what a horrible throw

It'll be hard to overcome Clemens and Oswalt though

Just like it was hard to overcome Prior and Wood...

Hey! That was bad memories. :(

I loathe the Cardinals, and I was rooting for them to lose, but I will give props where it is due, that was fascinating baseball.

the sound of the fair weather fans hearts exploding was impressive. that was so predictable its almost hard to believe.

It reminds me of the Simpsons' episode where Bart tapes Lisa's appearance on the Krusty Cmeback Special and the part where she tells Martin she can't stand him.

"Ooh. I think I can pause it right at the point where his heart breaks."

I wish I had Tivo so I could replay the collective gasp of the crowd. Had they still been in the Astrodome, the massive fan-generated vacuum would have collapsed the roof.

Didn't see the game, didn't care. But watching the highlights was awesome. To see a collaspe and not be emotionally affected by it, is truely something special. It almost makes the Bartman thing manageable.

The Cards won the series with that hit. No doubt about it. That loss did the Astro's in just like it did the Cubs 2003. I could feel the WS tickets in my hand only to look down and see it disappear. It's a shock you can't get over quick enough to win the series. The Sleeping dog just woke up and it is the Cards.

Yeah, I think something broke when Albert hit that ball. That was a real crusher, and I think the Cards definitely have the upper hand now. The momentum shift was almost tangible.

Not to be a nerd about it, but it was Ralph Wiggam whose heart broke.

It was Ralph? That's unpossible!

I agree. I am hoping like heck that the Astros will knock out the Cardinals, but I really sensed the shift when that happened. It was eerily reminiscent of the 2003 playoffs with the Cubs & Marlins.

Oswalt or Clemens are capable of squelching it, but the Cardinals clearly seized the momentum and took the air outta that place.

I remember in 2003 when Florida took the lead in the 8th of game 6, I knew it was over. Not just the game, but the series. I just knew it. I got that same feeling last night when Albert hit that HR.

I think the Astros will be fine, I'll bet on a team up 3-2 in a seven game series with two aces everytime. Sure, occasionally there will be a 2003, but I'll take the numbers and stick with the Astros.

I agree. I'd rather be in the Astros position than the Cards.

Technically, if the numbers hold true, then the Cards should be favored. Using home field advantage as the barometer, the Cards are right where they need to be (and exactly where they were last year).
