Another good game will be Nebraska at Missouri. The last time the Huskers came to town (2003) we beat them for the first time in 25 years. The goal posts came down and they were dragged downtown where they were sawed into little souveniers for everyone. What a time! This game isn't as huge as that one was, but it'll still be nice to beat Nebraska again.

I'll be at the ND/BYU game. It's going to be really boring, quiet and probably overall sad after the events of last week.

Huge game for Mizzou. A win here puts them 1 win away from qualifying for a bowl game with four games left and three on the road. Plus it'll bring the tie of the North down to two teams. (I'm assuming Colorado is going to beat Kansas -- the worst offense ever.)

Time to end Texas' national championship hopes and increase the Red Raiders'. Should be a great game.

It will be a great game, as Tech gets very little respect even after blasting Cal last year. Still I think the difference in the game is defense as Texas wins. Should be a lot of fun watching the Tech WR's, vs the Texas DB.

Anyone know the line on that Texas game. At school and can't look it up because it school won't let me access gambling sites. Also would be real interested in the over on that.

Big 10 fans- Can NW beat MSU this week?

Also some awsome SEC games this week. I like Tennessee and Auburn personally.

No.

Well, yes, but the team hasn't come close to playing a good full 4 quarters since week 1 against Ohio. The good thing is that since the secondary is going to give up big plays no matter what, they've vowed to at least be more physical. They really beat the snot out of some of the Purdue receivers. Of course, Stanton is actually a good QB, so that kinda changes things. But this offense can certainly compete with anyone in the Big Ten. Then again, just about anything can happen in the Big Ten this year.

We should lose this week and again at Ohio State, but I don't see any reason why this team can't beat both Michigan and Iowa at home and Illinois on the road to finish 7-4 and 5-3 in the Big Ten. Of course, we're still just as likely to finish 4-7.

Michigan State will win 87-84. Two crazy good offenses versus two crazy bad defenses.

I'm pretty freaked out about OSU-UCLA, thankfully the game is in Pasadena but still I'm rather worried (OSU went to Berkeley and upset Cal). I'd be sure UCLA would lose if the game was in Corvallis.

Don't worry the 7th place team in the crappy Big East beat them by 40 points so it should be an easy game for you guys.

This week will be very real tests for both Bama and Auburn. I'm beginning to think that Auburn may be the better team, but they just had so many players at skill positions with zero experience that first game against Georgia Tech....that killed their chances at an undefeated season this year. Oh, their starting HB is also out for a few weeks with a strained groin, but believe it or not they still have depth at that position...even after the exodus of Cadillac and Ronnie Brown.

I feel that Auburn dropped way too far after that first loss. Could really screw them for the rest of the seaon. Of course a win this week could get them back to about where they should be.

No game has been easy for UCLA since Rice and SDSU.

And MSU has? They blew a 21 point lead to ND and needed OT for the win and just this week had OSU beaten with 5 minutes left until they blew it after recovering Troy Smiths fumble.

This will be a serious shootout. NU has a very good chance of winning this game. State's loss in Columbus was a huge letdown.

Has NW played OSU yet, or will they? If they play that could be a great one and believe it or not it could be for the Big 10 title.

Offensively, yeah. They've at least come closer. And they did rip Illinois, Hawaii, and Kent State new ones. We were a non-slip on a 2-point conversion away from losing to NIU (although a good team) at home and blew significant leads in the second halves of all three of our Big Ten games (Penn State, Wisconsin, and Purdue).

I'd imagine the Spartans were stunned after Saturday's loss, but this is their homecoming. We'll have a chance, but despite back-to-back weeks of good offensive gameplans and actually throwing downfield, we haven't been able to sustain them. But we are relatively healthy and don't have anything to lose in this game. They threw to Sutton nearly as many times as he ran against Purdue, which wasn't much, so he should be very fresh. And if special teams can put up an adequate performance and our receivers can hang onto the ball, who knows? At least right now, though, I've got my sights set on homecoming against Michigan in two weeks.

As for Ohio State, we go to the Shoe on November 12th. We're going to have to win 2 of the next 3 against MSU, Michigan, and Iowa in order for me to think we have a shot at that one, especially since they're going to have revenge on their minds for the 2004 loss in Evanston. Our best shot is if they're going to be too cocky coming off a home win against Illinois and overlook us while preparing for Michigan.

But yeah, I can't start hoping for anything more than 6 or 7 wins right now...

And CPatt, no OT?

Georgia Tech @ Miami has been postponed until Sat, November 19th. Instead of a bye before the Georgia game, Tech finishes at Virginia, Miami, and home with Georgia. Does anyone have a more brutal finish to their season than Tech ?

I'd take what I can get from those final three games. At least the Jackets have a very good shot at 6-2 going into those games.

With the Miami game being postponed, nearly all of the country will see Iowa/Michigan on ABC at 11.

Iowa's 22 game home winning streak is on the line. Our last Big Ten home loss was in 2001 against Michigan, 32-26 on a couple of botched special teams plays. Since that time we're 13-0 against the Big Ten in Kinnick, with wins over every other conference team in that stretch.

The winner of this one is still alive in the conference race, especially Iowa who is now tied for first at 3-1. If Michigan loses, they're in some trouble.

The Hawks are also 22-2 in October and November from 2002-now. Kirk's teams have always gotten better as the season wears on and hopefully that's the case again this year. We have a bye week next week and finish @ NW, @ Wisconsin and vs. Minnesota. Right now I could see us running the table, but losing 2 of those games wouldn't surprise me all that much.

That's rough. All are winnable though. Tech is good for a late upset every year.

Has any team let more games out of their grasp the last couple of years like Mich St has. They may be the best team in the big ten but just cant seem to get it done in the end. They should have won the 2 games they lost and also let the ND game go to OT after dominating them for 3 quarters. Northwestern has a way of stealing wins so this may be closer than some expected.

If Michigan loses they may be scrambling to be bowl eligible. they would need 2 more wins with games at Northwestern, and home against OSU and Indiana. They might also get it together and win out, its hard to tell with this team.

What team is the most disappointing in the Big Ten Michigan, Iowa or Purdue? At least Michigan has lost close games to good teams that they probably should have won. Of course they probably should havelost to Penn st and Mich St. Purdue and Iowa have just not looked good at times this season.

One last thing for the gamblers, I think I would take Illinois and the points. I think this one is also going to be closer than some expect.

One more last thing How come ND is higher than Mich St in the polls. Mich St beat them head to head(at ND) and they both have 2 loses. Is it over hype by ESPN or do they really think ND is a beater team. I think if they played 11 times Mich St would win 6 of them

Knock off your ND griping. MSU could never, not with all the breaks in the book, play USC like ND did. MSU is below the Irish because their schedule has been a joke apart from ND and Ohio St.
