Wasn't Orange Crush stolen from Tennessee fans? I can't be certain, but I remember a different team's fans being called Orange Crush. Illinois stole the I-L-L, I-N-I thing from Mizzou, so I wouldn't be shocked.

 

And actually, I believe 'Cuse is simply the Orange now. That might just be for football though. Syracuse guys, and input?

 

Either way, I think Illinois should keep their name as it is. Unless I'm mistaken, they've been the Illini as long as the school has been open. And they shouldn't have to change because of the NCAA is following the new fad of not offending anyone.

I think they should keep it as the Illini but change the reference from the Illini (the Indian tribe) to the Illini (people who curently live in Illinois).

Nah, a farmer in overalls would be better. Outside of the Chicagoland area, Illinois is mostly cornfields.

Believe me, people from Illinois are not that bad of drivers. Go to New Jersey or Ohio for a little while and you'll realize that.

I lived in Italy for half a year. The Italians are decent drivers, it's just that they don't actually have any sense of what's safe or not.
