Cubs real close to getting Dunn (Shot down by Bruce Miles)

Let me get this straight:

 

-A new guy comes in with a new trade proposal of 3 for 1,

 

-Peter Gammons says it isnt happening

 

-Then the reds make moves of freeing up two spots on their forty man roster, and bring up a possible replacment for Dunn,

 

-Also it rumored that Dunn may not play tonight,

 

-Hoops doesnt shoot down the idea completly

 

If this does not turn out to be true we will have our proof that there are divine beings that love to torture the souls of cub fans.

Dunn for CP, Mitre and Hill - sounds too good to be true. Especially from a first time poster.

 

If someone is pulling a goof like this they picked the right board to do it on.

Well, in the link to the Reds blog posted a few pages back, it stated that Cruz is starting in right. And the people at Redszone seem to think Kearns being called up means a trade is imminent, but they think Wily Mo is gone. (although some have speculated Jr could be gone and Wily Mo will shift into center--only in Cincy could they think the worst fielding right fielder in baseball is the best choice for center... :roll: ).

 

Whatever is or isnt happening, I do find it strange that now they decide to recall Kearns when they hae had plenty of chances before and left him in AAA--even when he was hitting well. The timing is odd, but DanO and logic have never been friendly companions.

 

What's the consensus of the Reds' OF situation? Specifically, if (one of the following) Pena or Griffey or Kearns are traded, does that mean that Dunn won't?

Just wondering...how does Hoops always seem to have the insider info? Is he just really smart...or does he have a job which enables him to inherit information of some sort? It just seems like whenever rumors come up everyone wants his input...and I saw he was poster of the year before.

That I dont know. You would think by living in the Cincy area, I wouls hear stuff, but I dont. No one here actually likes the Reds....

 

Everything I get is from reading, so most of that is just other people's speculation. Just enough accuracy involved to in their specs to cause some drama, I know.

Eh, its a small course. ONly nine holes. And most of the holes are only like Par 3, 100 Yds. Its made for amatuers. The Idea is on in 1, then 2 putt. Its a nice little place, and only 4 buxx to play all day (5 if you are 18). And its free if you are under seven. It really is a cool place.

 

Anyways, yes i played in the heat. but it was only nine short holes.

 

Okay, I am going to go and Start the grill......wish me luck. I dont know if i can leave the thread again.

It should be interesting to see what pans out up until game time and after the game. Although if Dunn comes to Cubs tonight he just could walk from one dugout to the other as would Sergio. That would be a funny sight!
