How many Dunn heads could you fit in a Kearns head?

 

That question cannot properly be answered. The problem being that scientists have yet to actually find a number large enough to scope the sheer hugeness of Austin Kearns' head.

 

If Kearns was much taller would he be able to eclipse the Sun with his head?

 

Not only that, but the sheer amount of weight of his head that far off of earth would throw it off its axis. As a result he actually can never ride on a plane.

 

If such an event were to occur, Kevin Mench would be injected with steroids and then launched into the air in the opposite direction to hopefully save the planet.

 

Why Kevin Mench? Why not Carlos Lee sans the steroids?

i might get killed for this, but the reds would be getting ALOT for dunn. patterson struggled this year but is a young 5-tool player who has played good extended periods in the majors. rich hill and mitre are also 2 high-end prospects who have also have sucess, albeit brief, in the majors also.

 

dunn can hit well, but he is a high strike out guy. but he would certainly give us a better chance of the wildcard because we'd have a legit 5 hitter to put behind lee and aramis

I am very pumped--i am heading to Busch this weekend for Fri and Sat game and would live nothing more than to see Dunn's first game as a cub. Saturday--we have row 9 tickets right behind cubbies dugout--I hope to have pictures to share next week.

While I pretty much entirely doubt the validity of the rumor in this thread, this isn't the reason to discount it. The Chicago media, and the media in general is clueless with this stuff.

 

Last year we knew about the Nomar stuff in early July (thanks, yes, to a report by Levine). For the rest of the month, all anyone in the Chicago media (radio and papers) talked about was Orlando Cabrera. Most of the time they didn't even mention Nomar, and when they did, it was to say that the Cubs would never ever get Nomar, and that Cabrera was the best we'd do.

 

I generally make it a rule not to rely on media, especially local, when it comes to trade rumors... JMHO

Thats not what worries me. No one had any clue that dubois was going to be traded. Now granted its not for the best available guy in the NL, and we arent playing the Indians either. But if they can do those talks without being heard, why cant they do these.

I'm certain this will go down. Like I said in the original message, my source has never been wrong and he said he's sure this will happen, so there's no doubt in my mind that this deal will be announced sometime between now and tomorrow evening.

 

I'm going to call him a little later and see if he has any more info to tell me. If he does, I'll post it here.

I don't know if it will happen or not...considering the # of rumors I've seen that were false, I doubt it...but the thread has convinced me of one thing....I'll never share inside info until like 2 hours before it becomes public...2 days worth of people taking pot shots at my crediblity would be too much for me.
