Not only that but they’re moving the second game up to 4:35. There’s a perfectly viable option in Tampa with no inclement weather and no need to change start times on the fly. Players will be on call like ER doctors. 
 

I’m wondering how a hungover cubs team will look having to play a double header packed into a 7 hour window for a game that ended 20 hours before first pitch.

BN said the Red Sox were cool with playing at Wrigley but the Padres and Phillies were mad about which I get. They should just move it to a nuetral site.

Including playing in Tampa? MLB should intervene. Who gives a horsefeathers about them and why should they have any say over it?

Then MLB should tell San Diego and Philly to fuck right off and worry about their own games. I mean, how is it fair that we now have to travel more than we otherwise would have? Chicago to Boston to Tampa to Chicago/San Diego.

yeah, not sure why the horsefeathers philly and SD get a vote. they don't think the cubs should get an advantage, so therefore the cubs should get hit with a very huge and obvious disadvantage?

Since it's all about money and nothing else, I imagine options go:

1. All games get played in Boston

2. All games get played in Wrigley

3. Shoehorn as many as possible in Boston

 

 

4. Play all games in Tampa

 

2 got vetoed, rightly, and 4 was never on the table

I don’t feel this is any different than any other playoff team. A fan can talk like they are confident, but really in the playoffs anything can happen. I will say I won’t be surprised if they win. I am not like you or several others who suggest they can’t win. But I am not confident they will win. They very well could go out in 2 games. But, IMO they have just as good a chance of winning any series as they do losing. And that includes the Brewers and Dodgers. That is as confident as I ever am.

Im 50/50 with winning the WC, after that id be very surprise if they won another series

That’s the point. They could win. You and several others are on record of saying doesn’t matter what they do in the regular season they can’t win in the playoffs. I don’t agree with that. I don’t think any poster that pushes back against the negative posters does so suggesting the Cubs WILL win. I think the push back is that they can win, in spite of all the flaws the negatives posters want to focus on.
