I don't mean to prospect hug, but I might be coming around in the whole "you can pry Pedro Ramirez out of my cold-dead hands" side of things...

I really hope they don’t trade him - Shaw, Triantos, Wiggins, but there is something about Pedro

suck it Wainwright.  It's probably already been said in the first 6 pages, but why have someone who hates the Cubs so much broadcast a Cubs game?

We have to be due for the Happ 3 game stretch where he equalizes the multi-week slump, right?

Save it for the Milwaukee series later

Yeah, it was so blatantly obvious

Pierzynski too?

Was this intentional rage bait?

In totally unrelated news, I just completed the Census online as I needed to do it. That horsefeathers was as long as the Declaration of Independence. The horsefeathers?

Why not?  In hindsight, sure, but he was still pitching better than anyone they were going to bring in from the pen.

He was at a season high pitch count and to me didn't look as sharp the previous 2 innings as he did the first 4.  It was the bottom of the order though and he got the first batter out so I get it.  I wasn't screaming for him to be pulled but I thought it was odd he was still out there and then right after he gave up the HR

PCA also has a 194 wRC+ with RISP and a 165 wRC+ in high leverage situations and second in baseball in WPA too. He’s a 6 tool player if being clutch is a skill.

I wondered that too. I thought he was done after 6. But, ironically, I think CC wanted to keep him in to face Jones before changing pitchers. To me that is one of the flip of the coin decisions managers make. I thought he would take him out, but when he didn’t and I saw the lineup I understood what he was doing.
