These next couple of weeks could get really ugly. Cubs are 35-8 against teams bottom 20 in offensive war and only a modest 23-19 versus bottom 20 teams in pitching war.

The next 7 are defining games againts Pit and St Louis . They havent play well in the division and a bad road trip could be the difference in pursuing a 2nd tier rental or another Mike Soroka .

I just saw the Yankees and Dodgers probables for the next homestand. Cubs will be lucky if they win 2 games in both of those series.

Left the bats at home today. So many K's

I thought after the first Montero's stuff was really nasty.  I think only Dansby's fly out in the 5th was maybe the only ball hit near the barrel.   But I expected to do better against their bullpen guys and we really didn't and that was disappointing.

This team with the pitching we have at this time ain't winning any 1-0 or 1-1 get em in extra inning games.  Gotta score more runs.

Ugh, yeah.  This next couple weeks will be big.  No more easy games for awhile.

Yeah , Pirates are no joke man with that pitching . Right now I think the Cubs would shop in the tier below Skubal in the rental category . With that said if they go 2-5 i worst  , they probably shop in the lower tier of rentals .

Peaks and valleys.  Yep.  That’s Dansby.
