Sugano is awful, absolutely awful too. Guy went into this game with a 5.12 K/9 and 7.52 xERA. If you can't hit Sugano, fold the franchise and restart.

I think it’s over.  Our 2 big acquisitions failed, top starters went down, and the hitting all slumped at once.  Couldn’t overcome it.  That will be the story written about 2026.

Yes, they're looking worse by the day, but they are not too far behind the Wild Card.  If the Rockies sweep the Cubs, I would admit it.

I’ve been as bearish on this offense as anyone all year, but even I’m impressed at this new low.  They are probably sellers at this point.  Nobody can pretend anymore that this is a good offense.

Jed has been with the Cubs since 2012, I believe, been in his current role since 2020. IDC about his extension, his seat should be warming up.

With the way the Cubs are playing, they will have nothing worthwhile to sell. Carson Kelly? Ian Happ if he waves his NTC. Webb maybe?
