Can't remember Shota ever hitting 2 dudes in a game

Nice recovery

I think this is the 1st time.

How long until Cubs opponents start just walking the first 2 batters of every inning since that is basically the most effective way to prevent the Cubs from scoring runs?

Led off the inning with a double followed by a single and 0 runs scored.

Theyre an aggravating team..

They can get guys on base just cant consistently get them home at a good rate.

They'd probably be leading or top 3 in baseball in runs scored if they could just hit better with RISP

Weird seeing only 1 cub with double digits homeruns almost in June.

Might be one of them seasons they only get 1 or 2 20+ homerun hitters.

Shota isn’t getting a two-year contract from the Cubs. I would be surprised if he’s even back next year. He was hot early, but he is an average to poor pitcher.

Conforto starting to cool off some the last couple weeks

I literally said the same thing. He’s off a bit, but has been a pleasant surprise

The Cubs by far lead baseball with a 14.2% HR/FB rate allowed.  The next closest team is at 13.0%.  Does that mean the Cubs are getting unlucky or they just suck?  I'm assuming more data is needed to tell for sure but at least a little part of it has to be bad luck right?

Not just SP's.  The pen, too.

Has a team(s) ever bring up their top 2 hitting prospects from AAA and just have them sitting on the bench pretty much the whole time up

Just curious with this,  I mean they could of just brought up literally 2 other guys to just sit or just kept Lopez and brought up 1 other guy 🤷
