I wonder if we get word on Thielbar soon.  It sounded like when they IL'd him they were hoping for something close to a minimum lenth stay, which would have him back next weekend.

Let’s get a W today - it would be nice to sweep AZ and then we get an important series here for most of the week.

Did Rios ever see the mound?

I think he did once, and he pitched very well, if I remember correctly.

My thoughts on the month of April is the Cubs had a similar April as the Brewers did in all of 2025.

Despite starting 2025 with a record of 0-4, Brewers ended up winning a total of 97 regular season games. However, they had a very good luck rate of playing other MLB teams at the right time. They went 8-1 vs the Dodgers and Mariners last season, that just doesn't happen.

For the Cubs, we got the benefit of playing the Mets and Phillies while they were both struggling. Phillies fired Thomson, and swept San Francisco earlier this week. The Mets won 3 of their last 4. But we're pretty fortunate to go 16-5 vs Rays, Phillies (both series), Mets, Dodgers, Padres, and D-Backs.

The May schedule is interesting. It's all about capitalizing opportunities to beat up on mediocre teams. A road trip to Texas and Atlanta (no Acuna and a struggling Austin Riley) and a home series with Milwaukee and Houston will be fun.

I was looking at the over/under and they had it at 11.5 runs! I know both pitchers have a very elevated ERA right now, but they’re either begging people to bet the under, or this will be a game where you should start every fantasy hitter today in your lineup lol.

What do you all think? High scoring affair or do both pitchers show better stuff today?

Also - more importantly, it’s great to see Nico and Palencia back today! 💪
