Drafting WR in the first round simply because of trading Moore seems like a lazy take to me.  Maybe it will happen, I don’t know.  But sitting here right now, it sounds like someone who saw DJ’s big catch to slay the Packers and not looking any deeper into the Bears roster.

This conversation started because there are mocks that have the bears taking a WR

I am fine with the Bears taking a WR with one of their 2nd rounders but the first round is too greedy IMO.

Gotta go DL, S or Proctor if he falls to 25 IMO.

This mock has Bears going Safety, Safety, WR with their first three picks. If this happens,  Poles should be immediately fired.

That is a strange mock. I don’t see that at all. There are a few edge rushers and an OT taken right after the Bears mock 60th pick. I would imagine any of those would make more sense than a receiver and another safety. TBH, I would like to see the Bears trade down on their first pick and gain more draft capital. There are guys listed into the high 30’s that, IMO, are the same guys the Bears are considering at 25. Trade down and they still might get an edge rusher or OT they are considering at 25. Then in rd 2 (pick 57 or 60)maybe that safety does make sense. With the extra pick they can probably get a WR or RB. 57 and 60 can be safely and either an edge or OT(depending on what they take with their eventual first pick.
