Wasn't a former Lion player the President of Football and they had a real GM and Coach reporting to him? Matt Ryan is more like the owner's representative than the GM. Meanwhile will the 49ers get picks for Saleh again?

I get the idea of blocking the lateral move, but Poles is being cool to his buddy/coworker; hard to fault that. If your guys get promotions people will want to fill that role, I suppose.

I was in 441 and it was right in front of me too. 😂

I was in 440 and slightly to the left of me. I was 90% sure they would win in OT

254 for me so it happened to my right.  the 10-15 seconds that the stadium took to wrap our collective minds around what happened and then go absolutely berserk is something I'll not soon forget.

Apparently the Bears have known for a while that they wouldn't get picks for this.

I'm like 80% sure Poles orchestrated 90% of that search anyways lol.

Him and Ben dgaf about the brain drain, including picks.

I’m sure Poles would be more than happy to get two 3rd round picks as a bonus, but the NFL made it clear it ain’t gonna happen and there’s no use in making bad blood over it.

The Bears requested to interview Connor Senger, the passing game coordinator the Cardinals, for the OC position.

They also requested to talk to Bengals WR coach but he declined.  Apparently he's had multiple OC looks the last few years, but will stay in Cincy.

Jason Lieser (Sun-Times) gets reaction from Rams receiver Puka Nacua, who shares what he was feeling when Bears quarterback Caleb Williams completed that game-tying touchdown to Cole Kmet in the NFC Divisional Round. “‘It’s freezing out there and negative [wind chill], and I’m sweating like a mother, saying, ‘There’s no way that he just did that,’” Nacua said. “He’s going to be great.’”

This is way off topic, but does anyone happen to remember the old draft simulator game that was used quite a bit here many years ago? Does it still exist?

Fanspeak was the first big one? Now it's PFSN or PFF (with the good PFF features pay walled)

Speaking of the draft, I found a few fun "re-running the 2024 draft" articles published right after the 24-25 season, and ALL of them had the Bears picking Jayden over Caleb.

What a difference a year makes

Even now there's still people calling Caleb the 5th  best QB of that draft behind Maye, Daniels, Nix and Penix.

It’s really funny to say Michael Penix, who’s on his 3rd? knee surgery and is like 28 years old is a better pick than Caleb Williams

Well, you know, the completion percentage thing.  I'm certain next season, when Caleb and the Bears offense are going nuclear.  The media and others will find something else to justify saying Nix, Penix and probably McCarthy are better.

Mike Vrabel won COY award. That is not the egregious part. Ben Johnson getting only one vote is. In fact Ben Johnson finished fifth in COY voting. Annoying.

It was really a stacked year for the award
