Shaw, still reeling from his podcast buddy’s death, gets in Dansby’s way, causing him to fall into the stands and give the Mets a run

Yep, the challenge was stupid. And I am also not fond of the whole SS is the captain of the infield thing, especially when the baseball is going to easily be caught by the 3rd baseman. I don’t blame Matt Shaw. Dansby should have seen Matt was going to catch it and slowed up.

It’s Dansby’s ball. It is always Dansby’s ball. Shaw should have gotten the hell out of the way. Doesn’t matter if you like it or not, that is how the Cubs have done it for years. A rookie isn’t going to change their mind.

Thats fine. It’s a loud stadium and I am sure that Shaw couldn’t hear Dansby. Just a very awkward position to be in.

Yeah they can’t use Shota in the wild card round. Just can’t

He looks dead tired. No jump or hop, just....flat. Nothing new but still sucks to see.

Lol That Baty horsefeathers face again. If there’s a game 3, Shota with his 31 home runs allowed in 141 innings will have to bail us out if Horton is healthy enough to even pitch.
