Don't forget the best part of that game - Leonys Martin robbing DeJong of a game tying homer to end the game and the Cards' season.

Now that you mention it, I distinctly remember watching that catch and thinking WTF?

I'd love to see the Mets crap out, would be hilarious.

Yeah, that would be.  I remember the Mets were the best team, until Senga injured in June.  Then, for some reason, they started losing, and never really came back.

Guardians finish off sweep of the Tigers, they were carrying baseball' best record for most, if not all of the first half.  Looked terrific in doing so, then shortly after the break went in a downward slide and never really recovered.

The Mets were 45-24 on June 12, and then underwent three separate stretches where they lost 10 of 11.

And they're still in position to sneak into the playoffs.

Maybe the Cubs will put a wrench in their plans next week.

I wonder if the celebration being middle of the day allowed everyone sufficient recovery time

Plus who wants to keep a party going in Cincinnati anyway? The food sucks, probably just a Netflix and chill last night

Honestly it's why whenever I drink I try to start as early as possible.  Sunday Funday can be possible if you cut yourself off before 6.

The lineup looks great.  I was thinking this lineup, when I saw yesterday's lineup.  Carson, instead of Reese should make a big difference, moving down Dansby and PCA to #7 and 8 should work.  Will score more than 4 runs, like they did yesterday.😁

Seiya needs to start hitting better, though.  Today, I read an article about Seiya being a Greene killer.  So, hopefully, he can hit a couple of hits today.

When it's the Reds all one hears about Elly De La Cruz this and that, just took a look at the statistics.  And Dansby is quietly putting to together a better season then Elly.  Given all the hype Elly gets I would have never thought this was possible but, there it is.

Swanson and De La Cruz are very similar in their stats, both for their careers and this season.  Swanson certainly has the edge defensively, but Cruz has speed and is a switch hitter.

True enough, I was just surprised Swanson was outpacing De La Cruz in WAR 4.7  to 3.1 and other statistics.

And Dansby hasn't done anything all day

Reddit told me he sucks though and he is vastly overpaid.

People want to talk about the Mets collapse but what about the Tigers in-progress collapse? As of July 8, Detroit had a division lead of 14, but that lead is now 3.5.

Wow, that's quite a list, many of them give baseball media hard-ons.

Bullpen is a problem for them, saw a stat they're 9-20 in games started by Flaherty.  Think Jobe going down was a very big blow.

Why is Yankees - Orioles on Fox?  Honestly, who gives a horsefeathers about the Yankees except for the media?
