The Brewers were swept by the Rangers.  Since the first 5 game series against the Cubs, the Brewers were actually a few game below .500.

Yeah it’s not hard to come to the conclusion, given their recent performance, that this is going to be a one and done team. Unsustainable hot streak early in the season.

Will Carlos Santana ever pass Jose Martinez on the Cubs all time hit list?

Hes reminding me of the guy they picked up a couple years ago, i believe at the deadline and didn't get a hit at all with them

I had a thought that Nico was either striking out more lately (actually down in the second half) or that they were just sticking out more to me because they came in bigger situations but then I remembered how clutch he’s been. This is a pretty amazing split of stats for him.

They need to extend him.

The good version of Hodge would be very welcomed especially after what happened to Palencia.

Yeah, that's exactly what I was thinking.  If Hodge can pitch like last year, he would be better than Palencia.  I think he's been really great in the last 3 games.

Someone give me the stats showing Carlos Santana is just getting unlucky and isn't actually terrible.

Yeah, I know, incredibly small sample size with the Cubs, but they have so many better options.

I don't think it will go like this, but I just had a thought.  Keller for the 8th and Brown for the 9th inning.  And, I don't want to see that.

Agree, he'll only be 29 after next season, zero reason not to cement him at 2B for another 5-6 years.

I don't have stats, but he has smoked several balls right at the 1B over the last few games
