Unless there is an injury , just complete stupidity . Even with them not having to use the leverage guys yesterday , they could use all the time off they can get .  I know it wasn’t all on Kitdgrige but still a mi e that wasn’t necesssry IMO ( unless there was an injury )

I hope it’s stupidity. I can’t find any updates anywhere on why he was pulled yet.

It's a hot day, Taillon is only in his 2nd start off the IL, plus the pen was rested yesterday and will have a day off tomorrow

Counter point, Taillon is a better pitcher then they are and was cruising.

Why was taillon pulled after 62 pitches?

because after 150 years of pitching history, no one is allowed to face the order for the 3rd time anymore

Which he did on Tuesday facing 24 batters. He saw the top of the order 3 times at least.

I have to think it was Tailon’s call. It is strange to only go 62 pitches. But it is 90 degrees out and only Tailon’s second time out. Maybe it is some innings management. If Kittredge has a good inning no one is saying a word about it.

Taillon the 3rd time through the order is not a better pitcher than a full and rested pen.

We're talking Andrew Kittredge not Palencia or Keller. There's no way I pull him there at 62 pitches.

Taillon for his career has an ERA over 5 the 3rd time through the order, this year it's 4.63.

62 pitches is not a lot, maybe if he had gone another inning he wouldn't have given up a run, I can see that.  I wouldn't have been upset with it at all.  Maybe they spotted his mechanics suffering after going out 5 innings in the 100 degree heat index.  These are not black and white decisions, yet every time a middle reliever gives up a run or the wrong pinch hitter is chosen we have a group of the least curious sports fans around to confidently claim the 'complete stupidity' of the manager's choices.  It's an exhausting approach to being a fan, a better way is possible.

So I guess we’re either winning 4-3 or we’re not winning at all

Looks that way

There’s no approach.  It’s just emotional chaos.  That’s it.

I was hoping they’d hang more on Kyle and friends because they kept getting multiple baserunners seemingly every inning and now they’re just going down quietly in order
