i send zero blame towards any of the pitching staff over the last few months. its maddening to have to back up this shiftless offense in perpetuity

Pitching hasn’t been the issue - yeah it always sucks when you give up the lead and easy to blame the bullpen, but they don’t manufacture runs and this is simply the result.

Ump pointed at Suzuki as if to say he swung. Catcher pointed to 1st to appeal.

I went from "Of course the Cubs offense is going to turn it around and start hitting again" to "umm is this the real Cubs offense?"

Least runs per game in baseball over the past 2 months and its not showing a ton of signs of getting better.

I’ve always hated when the home plate ump makes the call on an iffy check swing. They should always appeal to 1st or 3rd unless it’s super obvious.
