I mean if the medical staff caught it in June, I don't know that they're to blame.

I know it can be frustrating to watch, but I will say that in terms building player relationships and having a good reputation around the league for stuff like that, when contemplating putting an everyday player on the IL (to say nothing of a player of Tucker's caliber), clearly there's more to it than a team just saying "You're going on the IL. The end."

It’s weird if a player plays better closer to the injury than weeks after it, but something is up. He should have been IL’d. Not just to get him healthy, but to evaluate him for his next contract.

Yeah, he was light on dongs but sitting ay roughly normal levels of productivity through July, so two months post injury.  I'm sure the finger is contributing to his rough August but I'd guess it's still mostly between the ears.

Heck with it. Put him on the 10-day DL and let Long or Alcantara get some time with the Cubs. This way the rest of the OF can get some days off, too.

I'd be totally fine with them doing this and bringing Mo back up to give Seiya a few days to figure out whatever he's got going on too.

That would work too. I like Long and Alcantara to give Happ and PCA a couple days off.

Should we just bench the entire team for a little bit? Might shake things up you know

We should definitely overreact to Caissie's pretty good start and bring up a bunch of guys who aren't ready for the majors/don't have a position on the team

We can't do any worse than we've done offensively lol

In fairness to Seiya, he would have had a HR in game 4 of the series if not for the wind, per what they showed on Marquee

I suggested a very specific move for a very specific purpose.  Mo can hit but not much else at this point and a few days off may do Seiya some good.  I'm also very skeptical that anything was corrected with 2 days off for Tucker.
