What the Brewers are getting with Vaughn was and is the type of impact player the Cubs needed to get when July rolled around and 3B was still very questionable,

They still need that  player now whether it a hitter, pitcher, or both, just someone to give them that spark even like when they got Castellanos.

Really wanted Happ to bunt during his AB. Game would’ve been 2-1 instead of a tie game right now.

This is assuming he gets it down and runners move up. No sure thing. He hit the ball 108MPH. Bunt was not the right play.

Also, I’m sure I’ll get roasted for saying this, but I’m not sure Tucker is worth $450 million. I know he’s a great player with a solid track record that gets on base, but I just don’t have him in that superstar, half-a-billion dollar tier. I’m also an idiot, so please, take that into account.

I could throw it underhanded and let it bounce to the plate and as long as it’s a 2 strike count thrown on the outside corner, Seiya will swing and miss.

If we signed Andrew Vaughn when the brewers did you would have complained about it so effing much

What? No.

First of all, he absolutely scalded the ball, just really unlucky placement. PCA still advanced to 3rd. Absolutely did his job

Seems silly to assume a perfect bunt from Happy anyway

If the bunt is successful they score 2 runs that inning. If Happ strikes out most people would’ve been screaming for him to have bunted there.

I wonder how many other clubs announcer is like Boog where they are still talking a day later about a good play an opposition player made. I get he’s a national guy, but I would like him to be a homer when he’s working Cubs game which is his main job.
