Wind blowing out a hundred miles an hour with a power bat up, no need to steal.

Doesn't matter, another strikeout

This is absolutely a results based comment. Did you say this when Shaw ran and stole second? Nope! With Garver catching the Cubs should have run. It is hard to score on Gilbert. You have to do whatever you need to do to score. He just got a perfect pitch to throw and made a good throw.

Whoops  well whatever. Clearly not playing great baseball and 9-9 in our last 18

Gotta be ready and take care of the Cardinals,  cause you know theyre gearing up and their fans are for this series.

A nice 25+ pitch 5th inning to get Gilbert out of the game would be nice.

Thank you! It was a hell of a good post, dude. 🙂

Don't like seeing Rea in the game still.  Hopefully he's removed when the next lefty comes up

About that

Can’t believe Rea is back out there.

Beat me to it...unfriggin'believable. Gives up ANOTHER cheap, wind blown homer and is STILL in there. WTF you waiting for Craig?

Counsell arguably cost us the first game of this series when he pulled Boyd, who was cruising.  Now this BS.

He's a beast and could win manager of the year - but wow, some of his decisions lately have hurt

I guess Rea coming out for the 6th is a direct result of the pen being overused lately the more I think about it. Makes sense but doesn't mean we have to like it either.

Boyd was hurt. The Cubs have said his shoulder had a huge bruise on it and he couldn't go back out. That's not on Craig.

I thought he was done after 5. I would have said that wasn’t.a bad outcome to be one down turning the game to the one. Gilbert versus Rea is a huge advantage to Seattle. Down 1 would have been awesome.

He didn’t pull Boyd because of his production. Boyd got hurt on that ball hit back to him.

I see.  Yeah that definitely isn't on CC then.

It was a real shame that we had to manage such a tight game yesterday, this is a direct result of that

Seattle might have the best closer in the game right now, dude has an ERA under 1.3.  Best chance will come in the next 3 innings, assuming they can get out of this mess and keep it close
