This is going to be a dumb loss, isn't it?

I hope so.

The “dumb loss” would be on Phillies end. They’ve outhit us 12-4.

Cubs are bending over once again vs an Above 500 team like they’ve done since April 23rd.

The cubs are 24-15 since April 23rd

All those games haven’t been against .500 or better teams.

And 4-8, soon to be 4-9 vs good teams, the teams you’ll be playing in October.

Whatever keeps you angry man. This team is awesome and fun.

That's how it works, the other good teams aren't magically playing .700 ball against other good teams

No, but most of them aren’t playing .308 ball against them.

The Mets, tigers and dodgers are playing.333 ball vs above 500 teams for a month and half too?

17-17 against over 500 teams this year. Dodgers are 15-14, Phillies are under 500. But sure, fun with arbitrary end points I guess.

Every first place team except the one you mentioned is a minimum of 4 games OVER against .500 or better teams.

Why do the games since April 23rd lead you to conclusions about how they’ll play in October but not the ones before?

I’ve got good news for you because the Cubs aren’t either!

Enjoy the ride. Jed will be adding at the deadline and this team will be better.

You act like the Cubs are being destroyed against these over .500 teams. They very well could’ve taken 2 out of 3 from the Tigers and right now it’s a tie game against these Phillies…
