I let Rea finish this game and save the pen

This didn’t age well. Also, even when it was mentioned it was a bad idea. This is the worst pitched 7 innings of shutout baseball all year. Cubs have gotten very lucky so far.

Barely watched today’s game as I had a beauty session at the barber. Good to see we haven’t sucked today like the pitcher just did.

We just keep winning series. Such a good team.

Winning series. Winning on the road.

Just checked the upcoming schedule and it’s pretty brutal. As of today’s standings, we only play three series against teams below .500 until July 27th.

One of the luckier pitching games I can remember for the Cubs.

It's not nearly as bad as April.  Honestly only three series in this stretch are all that intimidating.  The next two against Detroit/Philly, and then @ the Yankees heading into the ASB.

Teams like Cleveland, Milwaukee, and STL aren't bad, but they're not worth stressing over IMO.

To be honestly, I'm not even stressing about Detroit/Philly or NYY. Cubs are good enough to beat those teams.

Now I’m stressed about it less.

Those are all on the road. Sure, Cubs can beat them, but there is a good chance they are under .500 in those 9 games. I would take 4-5.

We have the best road record in baseball.

I'm not sure if the Braves are selling but I'd give up a village for Spencer Schwellenbach.  I honestly can't think of a better fit from a starting rotation standpoint, both now and long term

Even if they end up selling , he won’t be available . Braves have a solid core and can win next year .  Honestly this deadline will probably be boring . I don’t think there will be any true elite players available .
