If PCA gets on base I wonder if the Dodgers will even bother with trying to keep him close.  And it'd be awfully horsefeathers nice if Brown could throw horsefeathers strikes today.

The offense has been completely punchless against these guys. It's time for Happ to start his season. His quality of contact has been abysmal so far.

The lack of slug from our young hitters is pretty glaring.

I dont have any data to prove it but this always seems like what Happ does. He starts the year off moderately slow but still gets on base and then you look at the end of the season and he's put up another 3 WAR year.

Would be great if someone beyond Tucker could square some of these Dodgers pitchers up.  It's about time the Cubs laid one on these arrogant fucks.

Michael Busch is so good.  That might be Jed's best trade ever, assuming they cheap out and don't pay Tucker

Not sure I'd assume that. It's Hector Gomez and Mike Rodriguez, but both have on the past 2 days claimed the two sides are talking extension. Hector came with details.

It's two people who I'd consider to be far less legit than a Passan, but it's oddly specific.

Wow, that would be something.  Praying that it's true.

I'd really like it to be true too. It's debatable how much you should trust their stuff, they have a tendency to be off often. But they're claiming 10/11 years at $450-500m, no opt outs, no deferred and NTC. TIFWIW.

I just hope they don't let it get to free agency, that would be a colossal failure.  After the Yanks missed out on Soto last year, I don't see them making that mistake twice.  Tucker will get a blank check from them.. 10 years and 450-470 is extremely reasonable

Holy crap Busch robbed of either a grand slam or 3 run double.

Statcast had it as a HR in 0/30 fields

So yeah, probably the double.
