New normal? I’d I had to guess most young hitters have an extended period of adjustment when they first come up. Maybe most aren’t quite as long or as bad but I don’t think PCA’s curve is all that unusual.

Yeah, the new normal where the jump from AAA to the Major Leagues is larger than it has ever been.  Not that there hasn't always been an adjustment, but that the adjustment is even bigger now.

Posted in the minor league thread, Shaw, Triantos, and Alcantara all promoted to AAA. Shoul be a fun August in Iowa.

That is crazy to think that Iowa Cubs can field a lineup with 5 legitimate Top 100 prospects.

Didn't Candelario go through something similar last year?

If my memory serves correctly, Candy got off to a really hot start with the Cubs before cooling considerably down the stretch.

Got it. I thought you were talking about rookies generally coming up and hitting right away with just minor adjustments needed. I thought it was kind of crazy that people were giving up on PCAs hitting already when the sample size is still pretty small regardless of the gap between AAA and the Majors

Hey look, a fan that only goes to nationally televised games to get on camera is shown on camera. Now can we get back to the baseball? Thanks.

PCA has got me legit excited.

1000%. Legit superstar potential if that hit tool continues to develop.

PCA putting things together makes for some interesting lineup decisions down the stretch.  He probably needs to continue to play in CF nearly every day, and Busch needs to be at 1B every day.  So do the Cubs put their best defensive lineup out there with Bellinger in RF when he is healthy, OR if they think Bellinger is opting out and want to keep getting Seiya work in RF for the future, does Cody continue to see most of his time at DH?

Wasn't there a guy they got and he went 0 Fer for like a couple weeks before they dumped him.
