I thought Mastro was faster than that.  It felt like it took a minute for the ball to get to Cruz.  Please can we be done with the Mastro experiment?

According to strike zone that called first strike to Mastrobuoni was higher than ball three to Suwinski, excellent.  So ready, for umpires and their subjective strike zones to be replaced.

Last 5 outs from Busch have been via the strikeout. He has a couple of walks and a double during that span so not all bad but man the strikeouts are starting to concern me with him even acknowledging that he’s gonna have a high K rate in general

Let them physically call balls and strikes but let the box/computer do the real work. It’s ridiculous that they have not made that change yet.

It seems like everytime they sign someone or bring them up they hit well for all of a couple of weeks and then look completely overmatched. See Wizzy, Mastro, & Busch as recent examples.

That’s not really how he was advertised. They need someone to slug for them besides Morel and occasionally Bellinger and Suzuki. The offense is awful with our without the starting middle infielders.

Wisdom and Mastroboni are bench guys. So not really unusual they don’t hit too well. Busch, even with all his k issues is still a better than average hitter.

How do the  ins not have an error today. I count 3 balls they should have turned into outs. I am especially shocked at the second time McCutchen came up and hit that high hopped that Morel booted is called a single.

I know I’m playing with sample sizes here and acknowledge that he’s had a couple of ok stretches during this timespan but Busch now has a sub .600 OPS and 47% strikeout rate since his HR binge ended (29 games).

Still has shown enough to be on board with letting him work through his struggles and make adjustments though

Busch swings through 3 straight pitches for yet another strikeout. He’s lost

Wasn't really a fan of Busch to begin with, he had a nice start and a couple good games, but overal he's basically what we've seen from Wisdom the last couple years.

Hopefully he can readjust and figure it out soon cause they're going to need another consistent power run producer in middle of lineup.

4 infield singles is ridiculous

Also can we please get a hit

Very generous to call any of them hits.

Mitch Keller is a very good starter.

Jones and Skenes are as well.

Tailon deserved better today. He pitched well. Defense hurt him and the umpire missed a 3rd strike call before the homer he gave up. Hope they get out of this inning. He doesn’t deserve to lose this game.
