Someone mentioned Arrighatti is the Astro' Hendricks, quick glance at his statistics suggests he has location/control issues but, plus stuff?  Anyone seen this guy throw?

Arrighatti looks like he could play Steve Buscheme in a bio-picture.

Nope, arrighetti has much better tooths

Obviously no cub has faced Arrighetti, but just about the whole ASTRO lineup has faced Taillon and hit him pretty well in SSS..

🤦‍♂️

I think your main worry in a matchup like tonight's would be Taillon getting mauled by Tucker and Alvarez and losing like 10-6.  So the wind blowing in should be a boon.

well the cubs have had some really unfortunate luck to start the season with injuries and are still 14-9, so things could be worse

here's hoping some of the young depth guys keep the offense afloat for a while

What's the over/under on combined K's from Mervis/Canario today?  4?  I'm going over.  I'd like to hopeful but, neither of them have shown a hint of being effective at the ML level.

That's only two a piece. Are you trying to make an important point? They've both played a handful of games sporadically.

Not really, being pessimistic, hoping they'll show something with what appears an extended look.   One of PCA, Mervis or Canario has got to hit, right?

Not really.  Only one of those is a top prospect, and his hit tool is his weakest tool.  For either Mervis or Canario, becoming a good ML hitter would be a 70th percentile- type surprise.

Not that I expect it to continue but Canario literally has an OPS over .900 right now
