I’ve signed up to the 7 day MLB.tv trial today, so can anyone tell me if we can actually replay minor league games? Or are they only available to be watched live and then you lose access to the game? I can select Iowa Cubs vs Bisons but I am only getting a 5 minute ad and that’s it.

Not sure how you're trying to access it, but I can pull it up by going to milb.tv in the browser.  I know you're in a different country so not sure if that plays a part.

App on a Samsung TV. I tried on my iPad and Browser and same deal. Maybe my location is playing a part in not being able to access replays (I can for MLB, just not MiLB).

I know some people that have MLB.Tv in my country so I’ll ask them. Thanks for the reply in any case. 🙂

Edit: I read your post wrong and thought you said “MLB.tv”. Until i read it right, went to MiLB.tv, signed in and now can watch the MILB games. It’s all good now. 😄

Ah, you'll forgive me. My ability to handle emotion and tone are completely gone after an 8 hour day of middle school.

If you're wondering "Hey, what's that like?" well, I had a boy at 3:30 ask me for a spoon (I don't have one). Five minutes later, I look over, and the kid has a pyrex of mashed potatoes (which had to have been in his backback...literally all day) hand-shoveling them into his mouth using fingers he almost assuredly hadn't washed once all day.

Needless to say, I'm dead inside right now.

I’m not going to lie, you are pretty damn articulate for a middle schooler

Finally watching the game because of the local blackout. So nice Taillon has come back from the IL and been so dependable. Small sample size, but Mervis looks just as over matched as he did last year. I don’t know how much longer he can keep getting ABs. Busch’s K rate is also starting to get concerning.

If I had to guess, he's probably pretty tall for a middle schooler also!

Went perusing through various 'is this smoke and mirrors' stats:

  • 15th in offensive BABIP
  • 1st in however FG measures offensive clutch, which, as an avid game thread horsefeathers, lol
  • 6th best record in baseball, 9th best RD
  • Our ERA (4.03) is right in line with our FIP (4.02) and xFIP (3.98)
  • 14th lowest defensive BABIP
  • 13th in pitching clutch

All in all...maybe a little bit of sequencing luck on offense? But not going to fret about that too much given how shorthanded we've been playing.

You know, you'd think so...but kids these days are huge, man. I'm between 5"10 and 5"11 and there have to be 10-15 students who already are taller than me. I've got a student who's over 6"0 and 200lbs already!

I teach in an advanced program. There are days when I realize that of the 31 human beings in my room, I'm probably the dumbest one. I only beat these kids with experience.

He does have a pretty great gig at the moment:

  • Bullpen blows the lead: these guys all suck and also Jed sucks for putting together this group of dudes that can’t get any outs
  • bullpen holds a lead: man, look at Craigy Ballgames pressing all the right buttons, what a genius!

Cade or Ben?

I said it to a buddy last night during the game, but I definitely think one of those two will be closing by season's end because they both have the electric stuff to get the job done.  I hope it's not a long term role for either of them, but it would make a ton of sense as a band aid for this year.

I can't decide if I want Cade to end up closing games or just being in the rotation at season's end... I imagine he will end up in the pen, due to trying to limit innings... but at the same time, I feel like those high stress late inning appearances in a playoff race (and he won't be up pitching those innings if we're not in a playoff race) are maybe just as taxing on the arm

I don't think you should beat them with anything
