Change is on the way according to AK. I'm assuming that means a Lavine trade.

I'm all in on a Lavine trade. Not sure what they can expect to get in return for him, though. Everyone in the world saw the Bulls actually played at least as good, if not better, when Lavine wasn't in the lineup.

I bet we go into next season with Zach/demar/vuc still in place. Ak will make some changes around that and then tell us the new mix will change things

Maybe.....I believed him the last couple of times he suggested changes were coming.  Fool me thrice, shame on me.  I think LaVine's trade request still stands and they will heavily try to trade him but are going to have a hard time finding a trade that is acceptable to AKME so wouldn't surprise me if he fails.  Vuc is probably untradeable unless we take on equally bad contracts, but maybe it might be for the best for both sides to do that.

What would be idea is DeMar holding the Bulls hostage saying he won't resign unless he thinks the roster has a chance to win.  It seems like AKME really wants to bring him back and might actually feel compelled to do something if he gives them that ultimatum.

The Bulls are going to try really hard to trade Lavine.  For real this time!  Until they discover once again he has no value and decide the safest course of action is to run it back again with one or two new role players on the roster to shake things up.  I will be shocked if they do anything aggressive or creative.  It will be more of the same, as is always the case.

The only thing that gives me hope is that they were once very creative. Pretty much the only time they actually did something, they did it pretty well.  But I get it, it’s hard to believe they will suddenly be ok with giving up their guaranteed spot in the play-in for something different. I’m not letting them suck me into believing they will actually try to improve the basketball team that they run this offseason but it’s in the realm of possibility.

The Bulls offered DeMar 2/80.

That's all I need to know. They don't get it and never will.

I really like demar, which is weird, because I don't want him anywhere near the bulls

Even my friend who is a Boston sports fan who tries to rile me up all the time by opposing every argument I make about my teams was like 'why the horsefeathers would they do that trade?'

I have no idea who that is, but if they are actually going to tear it down I'm all for it.

Narrator: "They didn't tear it down."

I hate to say it, because Ayo is easily my favorite player on the team, but I think it might be a wise move to sell extremely high on him as well.  He is on a very team friendly contract and has a lot of value, but I'm not sure they are going to be able to afford him when his current deal is up in 2 years.
