They just flashed a graphic showing his BABIP is down .150 points from this point last year.

A lot of that can be attributed to him lollipopping cans of corn out there instead of hitting the ball on a line or through the hole

Yeah that was the first place I looked, but also to be fair, his BABIP last year was 36 points above his career number, so don't think that should be the baseline. Obviously he's not .560 OPS bad, but he certainly isn't getting meaningful unlucky by any stretch.

When Belli struggles, it looks particularly bad because of that loopy swing. Not worried about him yet

I was worried about him since the season ended, and even I would agree that it's too early to worry.

Just came back from the dentist to watch the rest of the Cubs game but I have this weird feeling. I am sure I was tucked. You don’t suppose…? 😳

So, uh, when can we start talking about Cody?

Add Nico to that convo too, been chasing high and outside pitches way too much lately.

Michael Busch home runs have accounted for 7 of the 12 runs the Cubs have scored the last 5 games.  Someone else needs to hit.

I like Ben Brown.  He is a unique pitcher with very good stuff.  I don't think he is necessarily ready to be in a major league rotation, regardless of his decent results so far.

Perhaps not, but I'll take him in the bullpen when/if there is no longer a rotation spot open for him.

Shades of Dunston cutting a throw lose across the diamond.  But that's not Mark Grace at first, so those throws better be accurate.

The craziest ones were on a chopper just past the pitchers mound that Dunston would come sprinting in and fire a rocket to 1B from about 60 feet.
