Imanaga hasn't thrown a single walk yet, gotta love that.

I think this will be huge. I don't trust his fly ball profile with the wind howling out in June. He will give up home runs. But if he's not offering up free passes in front of the occasional long ball, I think he can do well in Wrigley. I don't think he'll be THIS good, (maintaining a 0.00 ERA over a complete season is historical somewhat difficult) but I still think he has the possibility to be a solid 2 if he remains elite at not walking people.

Something about Taylor Mcgregor looking like a homeless person. She was sitting under an umbrella with all her stuff around her in an awkward way

It is entirely possible he has no idea of the origin of that word. I didn't (nor did I know how it was spelled) until just a couple years ago.

Are you framing his attempt to correct himself as a bad thing?

There is a lot of language that was pervasive in our society which has racist, sexist, ablest, etc... origins. I grew up completely ignorant as to the provenance of these words. Truthfully, there are still a great many I am learning.

Every once in a while, I'll find myself unconsciously using one of these words. For instance, I accidentally referred to "Eskimos" when discussing something with my six year old the other day, rather than any of the proper terms.

I thought I was doing the proper thing to own my mistake, and go back to correct myself. We aren't perfect people, and expecting perfection is only asking to be let down. I think it far better to assume the best intentions of those attempting to adjust their behavior moving forward, rather than casting it as proof of some mask-dropping moment.

I heard a grown man say to another grown man "I was sitting criss cross applesauce", and that's where I draw the line.

As far as arbitrary line-drawing exercises go, I can support this one.

After reading this game thread after the fact, I feel like maybe next time you should relax a little bit more when it starts raining. That was one of the most painful reads I've ever put myself through, and the Cubs kicked the Dodgers asses.

A rain delay doom boner that would make Aramis Fan blush
