Wait, is there a way to see how the umpires rated somewhere?

These get updated every morning for all regular and postseason games

Shaw is so dang special..honestly you could stick him on the opening day roster and expect better production than a guy like Ian Happ already, at least offensively, they got a GREAT prospect here.  He could be a top 10 prospect in baseball by the end of the year if he isn't already at the big league level

Ian Happ has never had a Major League season OPS+ below 102. Slow your roll.

Imagine how productive he'd be if he only played against RHP???  His numbers from the other side are killing his overall production.

I do think Shaw is a top prospect, but I don't get too excited about any prospect until they come up to the Majors and show what they can do.  Minor league stats are great for ranking prospects, but they don't always translate into success at the ML level.

I barely watch spring training but with the season a few days away I was looking forward to watching a bit of today’s game but of course today’s game will not be broadcast by Marquee 😡😡

I’m not sure what the Cubs are playing the Cardinals in ST? Anyone Want to lay the info on me

I don't know for sure, but from looking at the schedule the other day I think lots of teams are doing final ST games that make travel to their first series easier.  The LA teams are playing in Dodger stadium, San Fran is playing their Sacramento affiliate in their home stadium.  The Cardinals open in LA so having their final ST tuneup not be a cross country flight away in FL makes some sense I guess.

Man it seems like Seiya was a 3-outcome guy this spring. Either he made an out, or he hit a double, or hit it out of the park. Really excited to see what he does this year. If he's 140 or 150 that will make a major difference for the offense.

Happ OTOH, trying to offset the gains...

Stuff like this happens all the time with teams opening their seasons at the Diamondbacks or at the Rays or situations like that.

This is correct. They said that on the broadcast yesterday

The Cubs look completely disinterested in this game.

Yep was just telling a buddy that. Hopefully it's just trying to get through their last ST game without injuries. The defense has been piss poor to say the least.

I am feverishly engaging in magical thinking that they are letting Suttcliffe do ST games and will not let him near a microphone during the regular season.
