Do we know who would hold the tiebreaker between Carolina and New England if they end up with the same amount of wins?

Whoever faced the weaker schedule.

Right now it's very close (.525 for Carolina, .529 for the Patriots.)

Carolina's remaining schedule is currently 29-29 by my count, Patriots 31-28.

I thought it was much more in Carolinas favor than that, it's really shifted

Refs going out of their way to help the Chiefs. Mahomes takes a hard hit IN BOUNDS at the yard marker and the Packers get flagged for unnecessary roughness. Ricidulous

They more than made up for it on a blown PI.

Former head ref Terry McCauley said it best - first 59 minutes officiated well, last minute pretty poorly.

-hit out of bounds on Mahomes was a joke, shouldn’t have been a 15 yarder.

-fumble/down by contact was correct call, but why did the clock not start after the ejection of Pacheco. Clock was running and player was ruled down by contact. Clock should’ve started prior to snap.

-MVS was pushed backwards a yard or two and then pushed out of bounds. Ref stopped the clock. Forward progress was stopped and clock should’ve continued.

-MVS was absolutely fouled on the deep pass inside the 10. Should’ve been PI on GB.

-the push in the end zone is PI but there’s 8-10 players in the area all going for the ball. That will almost never get called. How many refs are even near enough to see what 8-10 players are doing in real time? Tough play, but there is PI by the rule on just about every Hail Mary in the end zone..

Packers played well and Love is looking better and better as the season moves on. Hopefully a sign of things to come.

Hard to believe this is the same offense that started the season (minus Jones, somehow)

I’ve been on a roller coaster with Love.  Early on I thought his floor was mediocre.  Then after a few games this year I thought NFL defenses were too much for him.  Now I think he can be a quality QB.  His stats are similar to Rodgers at this point in his career.  I really doubt he will be that good but he doesn’t need to be.

There’s something about the Packers system that gets the most out of players and that includes the QB.

That something may be the run of high quality offensive minded coaches involved in the development

I know very little about analyzing QBs and only have really watched Love for part of yesterday's game, but he seemed like someone who was very competent with time to throw and then the throw decisions and accuracy went way downhill when he was under any pressure.  Lots of back foot and awkward throws in those situations, which to the OL's credit didn't seem very common in the first half, when they went 2 for 2 on TDs.  Second half they got a TD after a "no no no yes" 4th down throw, and then I didn't see the end of the game but apparently only got 2 FGs in the remaining 3 possessions.

Drove me crazy to listen to Colinsworth act like Love made that 4th down throw on purpose. The guy threw up a prayer because an INT was as good as a punt and got crazy lucky.

You can hear him screaming that’s no garden variety break.  Whoa.

I thought I saw that live and then they didn't show a replay.  We need a vomit face "like" as an option.  🤮

Maybe not quite the "lucky prayer" you're making it out to be.  Pretty good analysis although certainly some degree of luck involved.

I think that is attributing a whole lot more meaning than what actually happened.  Is the decision to throw to him a bad one?  No, it's 4th and 2, there are basically zero consequences for an incomplete or picked off pass.  Did he throw it intelligently?  Yes, he put air under it for reasons mentioned on the broadcast by Collinsworth and probably also increasing the chance of PI.  Is he aiming for that spot based on the trajectory of the triangle of defenders who were all in the area?  Almost certainly not.  It's a fluky/lucky play and will not be repeatable in any real way, which is the point if we're talking in the context of evaluating Love's progress as a QB.

What does that analysis of the play have anything to do with Love's "progress" ?? Andy Hermann is basically saying that, but for the CB making a great reaction, Doubs is actually pretty wide open.  Love recognizes the coverage at the snap and puts the ball in an area where the WR can make a play.

I still think young can get a little more patience. Not a lot.  I'd be very nervous if I were a Carolina fan but it's still only 3/4ths of a rookie season.

He really looks like he's having trouble processing what he's seeing because he just can't see over the lines

A QB I've never heard of just put up 354 Passing yards on 32-37. My inner Bear fan is weeping.

Longing for the good old days of Jim Miller or Matt Barkley?

So I mean, he played at friggin Alabama. It's not like they're out there playing against William & Mary D3 squads every week. His line was massive, his opponents lines were massive, he flourished despite this. I think it's horsefeathers.
